By 2027, Iron Mountain will operate three carrier-neutral Navi Mumbai data centers with a combined 93+ MW of power capacity across 1,500,000+ square feet (140,000+ square meters). MUM-1, operational since 2015, is one of India's busiest and most successful India data centers with 50,000 square feet, 2.3 MW of total power, and an 850-strong customer ecosystem. MUM-2, opened in February 2023, delivers 110,631 square feet with 6 MW of IT load across a purpose-built facility designed for high-density AI workloads and featuring N+1 DG sets, chilled-water-based cooling in N+2 configuration, and express feeder connectivity. The MUM-3 campus, scheduled for completion in 2027, will provide 85 MW of hyperscale-ready capacity, establishing Mumbai as Iron Mountain's anchor market in India. All three facilities interconnect to provide seamless ecosystem access and unified operations across the campus.

In April 2021, Iron Mountain Data Centers established a joint venture with Web Werks, one of India's top colocation service providers. Over four years, the companies worked as a single team to expand across India's key markets, including Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Chennai. Iron Mountain's investment in the business increased progressively, and in April 2025, Iron Mountain completed full acquisition of Web Werks, taking 100% ownership. Web Werks now operates as Iron Mountain Data Centers in India under the leadership of VP & CEO Rajesh Tapadia, who brings extensive industry experience from leadership roles at Nxtra and NTT's Netmagic. This integration combines Iron Mountain's global standards, compliance leadership, and enterprise relationships with Web Werks' established presence across India's key metros, creating a unified platform delivering world-class digital infrastructure to support India's rapidly growing digital economy.
